About us

Roberto Micchi was born in Perugia in 1964, Maria Pia Minuti was born there too a year after, in 1965. They studied and got their architecture degrees together in 1993 at the University of Florence, Italy. They have lived and worked together since when they started their first projects in 1989. Their office mainly deals with private projects and especially renovations. Each project is carefully analysed in order to value the most prestigious and interesting elements of a building, which are well studied and emphasized through conservative restorations. In their projects they face the challenge of architectonic transformation chiefly through an integrated approach, which takes into account a rationalistic view carefully applied to the most various contexts, by resorting to the use of innovative materials and techniques. Their work is characterized by a clear and simple style, where they tend to empty rather than to fill in the spaces. Their projects always focus primarily on function and form.
